Memphis Jazz

Anyone interested in modern music, sooner or later the question, "Where to start?" Well, if you leave out the blues, you not have much of an answer. So to see where the blues came from, where it was and who he met on the road. We will also look at the "sadness good "and how has its unique effect on our feelings.
The blues as a musical phenomenon began around 1911 when WC Handy published popular songs, including "Memphis Blues" and "St. Louis Blues", which affected the hearts and souls of black people. In the twenties the general public were beginning to hear this new music through its influence on jazz. Early blues singers like Bessie Smith and Billie Holiday sang with jazz bands, while others played with "jug bands", accompanied by violin, kazoo and washboard.
Of course people like WC Handy, who were taken to singing in church, the piano was the natural accompaniment of instrumental songs. But the guitar is portable and has always been popular so I had to have a place in the blues and jazz. Guitarists like twelve blues guitarist Leadbelly and the chain of future electric guitarist BB King made sure the guitar would be integral the blues. Other blues guitarists made their living in the halls of smoke to play slide guitar using a bottle neck or a knife blade to worry about the notes.
After World War II young artists like Elvis Presley and Bill Haley were wrapping the blues in a new package called "rock and roll" and the players of the electric guitar blues like BB King announces the arrival of the guitar, soon to be a great attraction for both musicians and audience. Throughout the evolution of the blues the guitar has always had to turn to the solos in jazz bands, but now that competed with the singer to the attention of the audience.
Guitar Blues can be played in any key that takes your fancy and comes in three basic forms: eight bars, for example, "Heartbreak Hotel", sixteen bars, as "Saint James Infirmary" and twelve-bar as "St. Louis Blues." For some reason the Twelve Bar Blues form is the easiest way singer popular with the public and the other two, and is the basis for many great songs out of the language of the blues.
If you go poking around the internet you will find that the scales blues scales are its large garden only major and minor, except that the notes of the third, fifth and seventh levels are reproduced. However, you may be surprised to know that the sadness of the players managed for centuries without knowledge of European music theory. They learned to sing and play to their families and friends as well as many of the young white musicians blues Nineteen sixties learned by imitating the artists heard on records.
And here is where the blues takes another direction. After years to imitate their idols, something strange happened to the white blues guitar players in Britain and the U.S.. They developed their own authentic, original styles. The greatest blues players even started using the new system of classic songs and making some of the innovations introduced musical unbluesy by young white guitarists like Eric Clapton. So The Beat Goes On. Of a foreign culture influences American popular music in turn receives fresh input a new generation of guitarists worldwide.
