How Tube Amps work?
My dad and I were wondering how tube amps work and if we have to get one. I can not understand how well … If anyone can help please. Thanks
Tube amplifiers are the Holy Grail end audio high. Any audio enthusiast will have a tube amp over a solid state (ie transistor) amplifier any day. In terms of performance, modern IC devices are nearly identical in operation to the way it works Amplier tube. There are three parts in a tube: cathode, control grid and collector. A signal is Apple to the cathode. The grid control uses a voltage applied to influence the amount of amplification of the signal applied to the collector is passed tot. The signal manifold is then passed to the speakers. Of course there are other electric massage that occur, but this is the basic idea. The tubes have a history of running very hot and the generation of a few joules of energy. But the new designs have been able to reduce heat production without sacrificing sound quality. For what it's worth punishment, many of the greatest guitar amps around the tubes for use today.

How to Gain Gain: A Reference Book on Triodes in Audio Pre-Amps
