Need help with string replacement and high fender Starcaster.?

my brother has a Starcaster defense and was able to change all strings for himself but for the high E string. I was able to separate it from the adjustment pin, but could not get to go through the bridge. when I tried to push it through the chain bridge just get all tangled. I think this is due to how the light of the string is, but definitely could use some help. Thanks

It is the end that went through the head of all folds up? If so, cut that and you should have no trouble making the final without problems across the bridge. Otherwise may move "until it comes through. Starcasters are not exactly high-end guitars, which probably has something to do with it.
